‘More than 70% of Russia’s territory is covered with snow’
On October 14, more than 70% of Russia’s territory was covered with snow. In recent days, snow has fallen in the Urals, southern and eastern Siberia. A week earlier, we reported that snow cover had formed in Yakutia, the Magadan region, Chukotka, Taimyr and Yamal.
Well DEB…We may get plenty this year cuz Honga Tonga WATER has not finished falling out of the upper atmosphere. So we may get another 1978 Blizzard and that was 1.5″ ice with up to 36″ of snow on TOP!!! We had lovely 15-20 FOOT drifts in Jefferson County (Louisville), KY!
So more firewood, more foodstuffs, more alkie for imbibing and a WARM BODY to snuggle up to on those cold nites !
Have a good day DEB!
We are in the process of having the longest, driest autumn I can ever remember in Missouri. The trees are turning right from green to brown, or a dingy sort of orange and yellow. All my life I’ve heard people say that lack of rain will prevent the bright colors that are customary here. Now I can see the truth of it.
Hunga Tonga seems to be finished with us.
It seems I will have to forego the warm body for yet another winter.
The elk were here at 3am there’s still grapes on my side of the fence. I picked chanterelle mushrooms in the forest last two mornings. Low tide tonight at 11pm going to go get oysters under the full Moon. Salmon season opened today for Fall, I can keep four a day next six weeks. I like to fry the oysters with the chanterelles or fry the salmon with them. Still have zukes growing toss that in too. Leaves are starting to drop, my grass is still growing just a normal 10/16 in the forest.
Snow today on the Mt Hood cams and Crystal Mtn is from volcanos from solar flares. Snow today on Cody Bowl J Hole live cam from volcanos from solar flares. Watch Windy.com you might learn something but you won’t. Whatever.
Heavy SO2 Mexico, C America also putting out again. Those two caused Helene and Milton and Deb.
NW US and BC getting a storm all weekend from volcanos from solar flares. Hurricane force winds BC Coast. Cyclone. Try watching Windy.com try the pm2.5 map I been showing here for 3.5 years. Where do you think all the snow in Russia came from?? Been watching SO2 on Windy? No. Helene and Milton went up over Norway. Ice free past Svalbard. Cyclones all coasts creates high pressure Mongolia. Cold.
I started cutting firewood last March got three cords in the mudroom one in the garage. One cord other side of fence 60 feet Three cords 200 feet East up on the hill. Two cords N 100 feet. I have extra chainsaw blades, gasoline. 4X4 with 4 studs and chains. I don’t have a furnace. Normal 10/18 in the forest.
Picking chanterelles in the Olympic National Forest is amazing not pitiful. Frying them with fresh oysters or fresh salmon is amazing not pitiful. I could sell chanterelles for forty bucks a pound but I freeze them for Winter. Amazing in Turkey Soup. Best year for chanterelle picking in years, no frost. Now it’s raining temp going up this weekend there will be lots of new chanterelles next week. Great source of vitamin Dm oysters a good source of Zinc. Very important. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanterelle
Waiting for the salmon to show up the rain will help. They stack up in November they swim up the road when it floods. No, I am not pitiful, that’s BS. The elk were here yesterday for three hours, about 40. I made zuke bread another great day in the forest.
Weren’t you just whining the other day about no salmon from no rain from solar flares from asterogically situated planets? You change your story every day to suit your mood!
“NASA and NOAA have declared the Sun’s solar maximum, noting increased sunspot activity and heightened solar events that influence Earth’s space weather.
This period is linked to significant geomagnetic storms and aurora displays, with potential disruptions to satellites and communication systems.”
Says we’re in the solar maximum period, not declaring the peak yet. Everybody already knew we are in solar maximum period so it’s not new news. The article is also on SolarHam today.
Well, if it’s 5 1/2 years from the previous solar minimum, then we should be at solar maximum, right? Not exactly rocket science. Why do they make a big deal about it?
This shows that the number of solar flares at maximum was much higher in 1780 (400) and 1958 or thereabouts (300). We are currently at 200. Maybe we will reach 300 by the end of the year. What do you think?
Overlay the old GSM prediction chart on the new SC chart on the article. The old chart showing SC25 was sposed to be very weak. The chart that Robert Felix used to show 12 years ago. I have all those old GSM charts. It was sposed to snow year round by 2016 and it got record hot El Nino. There’s no fish at the salmon hatchery today they never recovered from ’16. There’s no crabs. I used to eat crab all the time my favorite. No salmon today nobody there. Used to be millions ten years ago. Salmon in my river were four feet deep now there is none. Record hot and dry summers here but it’s sooo cold every day. Didn’t even snow here last winter. What a joke. Great Lakes didn’t freeze last two years. What a joke you guys make Gretta look smart.

In many regions of Russia, the establishment of snow is supported by the first frosty weather of the season. In Eastern Siberia, the temperature dropped to -11°C… -16°C. In the Urals and southern Siberia, frosts of -10°C occurred.

And… the (Winter) start was given!
Good thing Russians love snow!
And they know how to deal with it.

Are you still mad at me?
I has no friends, family doesn’t give a crap about me. Not expecting any of that to ever change. Normal 10/17 in the forest.
Ok, I’ll leave you alone. Not in the habit of forcing myself on people, even pitiful people like you. 😏

“Salmon in my river were four feet deep, now there are none.”
You are an extremely inconsistent human being (unless you’re AI with a random factor built in).
I seem to have been here before. I think it’s a cycle.
It’s crispy crunchy dry here in central Texas. We just can’t seem to get any rain. Hurricanes in the Gulf help, but obviously we haven’t had any.
We finally got a drop in temps from the mid to high 90s today. I think it was only 74 degrees at the high today. Nice!!

Sunspots, not solar flares. My bad.
